Our Vocabulary

The practice in the house of Hubb’Allah is to develop our internal vocabulary and definitions around a project, theme or matter. On this page, you will find a Glossary of the vocabulary we are using around this site and our larger or affiliate projects.

Harmaceuticals

Admittedly a loaded term, Harmaceuticals pointedly highlights the harm that is done by the military-industrial pharmaceutical complex. This pertains to practices, compositions, diagnostic approaches, research methods, and dubious “marketing” strategies of the Complex on one hand, and its outlook and goals on the other. The aim apparent of the Harmaceutical Complex is to keep people sick and possibly make them sicker, and earn off the illness while ignoring the design and complexity of the body, and the experience of the person/patient.

The aim of natural wellness, on the other hand, is to restore human bodies and societies to a state of sustainable wellness and prosperity. The aim is the freedom of humanity within the demarcations of the Divine context (which are not limited, and are ever-deepening and generative–so no fear of God’s provisions and creations running out; only our imagination and reception runs out).

In time, we will share more about the meaning of what HARM truly means!

Medicyne

Mostly to avoid confusing our natural, values-based “medicine” from the harmaceutical productions, we used this stylized spelling. This should also indicate to the users of the website that we are not within the folds of or comply with guidelines that regulate the industry (mainstream or alternative/parallel), and are folksy, independent, sovereign, and something of a rebel. It is also respectfully used as a spelling to indicate that we have not fully attained a position to position ourselves as tested medicine that conforms to the rules and practices of the alternative systems. We are, in terms of being a mass offering, still in infancy and a minimal viable product/offering. Finally, this is a nod to the alternative and native cultures who spell the word “medicine” differently to signal their divergence from normative practices.

Given all this, we thought it was safe to spell our word for Medicine as Medicyne.
